Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Sales Consultant guides customers through the vehicle selection and purchase process, ensuring a smooth and satisfying experience. You manage customer relationships from initial contact to post-sale follow-up.
- Engages prospective buyers in the showroom and online, identifying their needs and preferences.
- Sells new and pre-owned Hyundai vehicles, meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Provides outstanding Customer Service, building rapport and trust with every interaction.
- Negotiates pricing and terms of sale to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Masters comprehensive Product Knowledge of all Hyundai models, features, and technology.
- Performs proactive Lead Generation activities, cultivating new sales opportunities.
- Utilizes CRM Software to track customer interactions, manage leads, and maintain an organized sales pipeline.
- Executes effective Closing Sales strategies, finalizing transactions and securing customer commitments.
- Maintains clear and persuasive Communication with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Practices Active Listening to fully understand customer requirements and concerns.
- Conducts compelling Vehicle Demonstrations, highlighting key features and benefits.
- Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Holds previous experience in a sales, retail, or customer-facing role.
Knowledge/Skills
- Demonstrates strong understanding of Automotive Sales principles.
- Exhibits exceptional Customer Service skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Applies effective Negotiation techniques to achieve positive outcomes.
- Possesses the ability to quickly acquire and retain Product Knowledge.
- Understands and implements Lead Generation strategies.
- Proficiently uses CRM Software for sales management.
- Applies proven Closing Sales methodologies.
- Communicates clearly, concisely, and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
- Practices Active Listening to discern customer needs.
- Conducts engaging and informative Vehicle Demonstrations.
- Holds a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Possesses prior experience in automotive sales, especially with the Hyundai brand.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
- Works in a dealership showroom and outdoor lot environment, which may include exposure to various weather conditions.
- Stands, walks, and sits for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Operates vehicles for test drives and demonstrations.
- Communicates effectively in person, over the phone, and via digital channels.
- Works flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet customer demand.
