Lead and drive software testing and validation activities for innovative defence solutions while ensuring the highest quality standards throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
Lead a project-based testing team within the defence domain and coordinate all relevant verification and validation activities
Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for software products
Plan, coordinate, and monitor both manual and automated testing activities
Design and execute system and acceptance tests based on functional, technical, and operational requirements
Ensure high quality standards across all phases of the software and product development lifecycle
Introduce, optimize, and continuously improve modern testing methodologies, tools, and meaningful test metrics
Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, product lines, and development teams to ensure successful product validation
Support the continuous improvement of testing processes, quality standards, and testing frameworks
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related STEM field, or a comparable technical qualification.
Strong experience in software testing with a deep understanding of verification and validation processes.
Hands-on experience with functional, acceptance, and performance testing.
Solid knowledge of IP networking concepts including IP addressing, routing, switching, and wired and wireless communication technologies (Ethernet, VHF, UHF, LTE, SatCom).
Experience working with the V-Model XT and ideally familiarity with ISO 29119 testing standards.
Practical experience with ALM and test management tools such as Jira/Xray, IBM DOORS, or similar platforms.
Experience using version control systems such as Git.
Strong understanding of agile development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
Analytical and structured working style combined with a strong customer-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to solve problems effectively in complex project environments.
Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
Willingness to undergo a security clearance process where required due to work within defence or critical infrastructure environments.
