The Sales Operations professional manages all administrative and commercial functions for the Automotive OE Sales Vertical within an international team. This role ensures seamless order processing, maintains customer relationships, and drives continuous improvement across sales operations.
Customer Interface & Commercial Management
- Handle all commercial inquiries and manage terms and conditions including pricing, rebates, and commissions
- Prepare and evaluate business cases to assess volume and margin impacts; make decisions within established negotiation parameters
- Process exceptions and resolve commercial claims
- Conduct regular customer dialogues to assess satisfaction and continuously improve the customer experience
Contract & System Administration
- Administer customer contracts and commercial agreements
- Maintain rebates, commissions, and special commercial terms in ERP systems (SAP R3/S4)
- Support the implementation and standardization of sales tools and processes, including CRM systems
Order Enablement & Master Data
- Coordinate customer master data creation and maintenance
- Initiate article creation processes in collaboration with Sales, Product Development, Production Planning, and Costing teams
- Configure Scheduling Agreements in ERP systems and establish master data to enable automated order processing via EDI connections
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal and external quality guidelines and customer quality targets
- Maintain compliance with Continental Code of Conduct and all legal requirements
Performance Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Escalate customer feedback and satisfaction insights to drive continuous improvements
- Promote customer-centric practices within the Sales Operations department
- Contribute to process and system improvements that enhance organizational efficiency
- Support commercial excellence measurements and reporting
- Manage interfaces with customer logistics and supply chain teams regarding requirements and order execution
- Foster horizontal communication and collaboration across departments
Reporting & Planning Support
- Support sales planning and forecasting processes
- Generate relevant data and prepare reports and presentations for sales leadership
- Minimum administrational apprenticeship degree or 3 years experience in lieu.
- Preferably >1 year experience in areas such as Sales, Account Management, Sales Administration in Industry Business, preferably within Automotive OE.
- Experience in tender/proposal writing and compilation advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience in project management preferable.
- Intercultural competence required
- Advanced level of English, German knowledge is an advantage
