Utilities Technician

The Utilities Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining utility and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
How You Will Make an Impact

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility and facility equipment.
• Ensure high equipment availability while supporting energy efficiency initiatives.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize downtime through timely repairs.
• Identify and implement equipment improvements to enhance reliability, quality, and operational performance.
• Support facility, utility, and capital improvement projects as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Accurately document maintenance activities in SAP PM, including work order confirmations, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and operational objectives.
• Demonstrate ownership of personal and workplace safety by following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Ensure accurate time and attendance reporting.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

• Associates degree in Engineering, Electrical Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics Technology, or a related technical field; OR
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in lieu of a degree.
• Maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Experience maintaining utility systems, facility equipment, and power distribution systems.
• Working knowledge of Siemens and/or Johnson Controls PLC systems.
• Experience with Metasys building automation software.
• Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM).
