Strength Coach - Baseball (Part Time)

CLASSIFICATION: Part-time, 7-month contract

REPORTS TO: Head Baseball Coach

DEPT: Athletics

LOCATION: Grand Rapids, MI

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Help plan and administer off-season strength training

Supervise two lifting sessions per week while classes are in session

Record daily attendance

Teach technique and monitor workload

Report and safety issues or equipment concerns

Correspond with recruits (e-mail, letters, texts, phone calls)

Model commitment to Christian character and the Community Covenant standards in behavior and interactions with athletes, coaches, and officials

COMPENSATION: General Stipend Offered

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related disciplines
• Prior experience working in strength and conditioning
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Advanced knowledge and teaching experience

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
• Experience working with Collegiate Athletes
