Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Own supplier quality performance for assigned Trak Racer products and components.
- Conduct supplier audits, process reviews, and production-line assessments.
- Lead containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
- Support NPI builds, first article inspection (FAI), process validation, and production-readiness reviews.
- Review inspection plans, process controls, manufacturing risks, and proposed product or process changes.
- Analyze quality data and drive improvements in defects, yield, process control, and customer quality.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, and Customer Support to resolve quality risks.
- Travel regularly to supplier and sub-supplier facilities in the region
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Professional verbal and written English communication skills.
- 15+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Product Quality, or Quality Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, control plans, and supplier quality management.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T.
- Hands-on experience working directly with suppliers and manufacturing operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and follow-through skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work regularly at supplier facilities.
- Preferred experience with welded assemblies, CNC machining, die casting, injection molding, mechanical assembly, or cosmetic finishing.
- Preferred knowledge of PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, process capability, reliability testing, and supplier audits.
