    Job description

    Reports To: VP of Operations

    Classification: Full time - Non-Exempt

    Job Summary:

    As the Facilities Coordinator, you will maintain the facility's interior and exterior. The candidate will work and communicate directly with the VP of Administration. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Key objectives for success:

    • Keep and help keep the building assets in the best possible condition through Best Management Practices.
    • Contact an outside contractor to make repairs to specific equipment and various parts of the property.
    • Through BMP’s, being a good steward of the donors' gifts through organization, proper maintenance and proper usage.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Janitorial:

    Clean and maintain the following areas but not limited to:

    • Floors
    • Windows
    • Restrooms
    • Carpets
    • Trash removal
    • Organization of Housekeeping Closet
    • Dusting
    • Knowledge of Janitorial supplies and how to effectively use them
    • Restocking of supplies
    • Placing order forms for supplies to the appropriate staff
    • Complete Work Orders as received
    • Inspect the interior and exterior of the property for cleanliness

    Maintenance:

    Repair and maintain the following areas but not limited to:

    • Paint issues
    • Small repairs
    • Equipment maintenance
    • Organization of supply room
    • Installation of new products
    • Work Orders
    • Chapel set up and tear down
    • Placing order forms for supplies to the appropriate staff
    • Inspect the interior and exterior of the property for Maintenance issues

    Landscaping:

    Repair and maintain the following areas but not limited to:

    • Mowing
    • Weed control
    • Equipment maintenance
    • Plant maintenance
    • Plant removal and replacement
    • Inspection
    • Monitor conditions to exterior landscaping
    • Placing order forms for supplies to the appropriate staff
    • Organize the tools used for maintaining the landscaping

    Volunteers:

    • Planning and scheduling projects for volunteers
    • Prepare tools and supplies needed to complete the tasks
    • Instruct the Volunteers on expectations
    • Communicate with the Volunteer coordinators on projects and expectations

    Work Hours:

    CCO offers flexible scheduling options for staff, allowing them to choose between a typical Monday through Friday schedule with five eight-hour days or a modified schedule with four nine-hour days and a half-day on Fridays. Occasionally, program needs may require different schedules, including evening or weekend hours. Supervisors will regularly discuss schedules to ensure coverage of program needs, and employees must always obtain prior approval from their supervisor to change their schedule.

    Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

    • At least 3 years of work experience related to housekeeping and general commercial building operations.
    • Competent computer skills, including knowledge in MS Office Suite Apps
    • Proficient organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Effective communication skills to effectively work alongside other teams and staff members.
    • Discretion and trustworthiness when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

    Physical Requirements*:

    • Must be able lift up to 75 lbs. at times.
    • Proficient in operating the following:
      • Power tools
      • Lawn mowers
      • Maintenance tools
      • Ladders
      • Other construction tools and equipment
      • Janitorial equipment

    Applicant must successfully complete a drug screening, background investigation, and driver record check.

    Must ensure that the confidentiality of guests served is maintained as required by law and HIPAA.
