    Why PVESC?

We’re a growing multi-specialty and emergency practice in Portland, Maine, expanding soon with a state-of-the-art, 42,000-square-foot hospital in Falmouth, Maine.

We believe great patient care starts with a great team. Here, you’ll have the support, resources, and opportunities to keep learning and growing.

    • $25-38/hour, commensurate with experience and licensure
    • $5,000 retention bonus, available for Licensed Veterinary Technicians for overnight position for full-time hires
    • Shift differentials for mid, overnight, and weekend shifts
    • Full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) match
    • Paid CE and professional development
    • PTO, holiday pay, and paid volunteer hours
    • Uniform allowance and personal pet discount
    • A collaborative team where your voice matters

    The Role

Full-time | Tuesday, Friday, Saturday | 7:30 PM–8:00 AM (shifts offered may change based on hiring needs)
    Some holidays required.

As an ECC Technician, you’ll work alongside our Criticalists, ER doctors and nursing team to:

    • Triage and stabilize emergency patients
    • Administer medications and manage fluid therapy
    • Perform and assist with diagnostics, including radiographs, bloodwork, and ECGs
    • Monitor anesthesia and support emergency procedures
    • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans
    • Communicate with clients, doctors, and teammates
    • Advocate for patients through every critical moment

    You Bring

    • LVT/CVT/RVT credentials or strong Veterinary Assistant experience
    • Confidence in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Experience with diagnostics, imaging, and anesthesia monitoring
    • A passion for emergency and specialty medicine
    • A commitment to learning and growing

Experienced Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to apply.

Your skills matter. Your presence matters. Your patients matter.

Join PVESC and make a difference when it matters most.

PVESC is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
