Fleet Maintenance Manager

We are currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for Fleet Maintenance Manager at Cranemasters. $2,500 is payable at hire, and the remaining $2,500 is payable after 6 months of employment. 

Cranemasters is seeking a strategic and detail-driven Shop Manager to oversee compliance, fleet operations, and maintenance systems across the organization. This role is critical to ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in full regulatory compliance while driving performance through data, systems, and strong vendor partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure company-wide compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations, including driver qualification files and drug & alcohol programs

· Oversee fleet maintenance, tracking systems (GPS, cameras, radios), and communication tools

· Manage and optimize fleet maintenance programs, schedules, and system performance (e.g., Fleetio)

· Develop and track KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to drive operational performance

· Establish and maintain fleet policies, procedures, and standards

· Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements

· Support capital planning, vehicle purchasing, and fleet outfitting

· Collaborate with fleet leadership and operations teams

· Audit systems, work orders, and performance metrics for continuous improvement

· Address compliance and employee-related issues in alignment with company policies

Skills/Qualifications

· Associate degree required (Bachelor’s preferred) or equivalent experience

· Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations

· Experience managing fleet systems, maintenance programs, and vendors

· Advanced proficiency with Excel and fleet management software

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

· Effective communication and leadership abilities

· Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and accountability

· Valid driver’s license with a clean record

Physical Requirements             

· Working extended hours as needed.

· Ability to perform tasks under stressful conditions.

· Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, standing, and / or walking.

· Walking / carrying / lifting items associated with normal office work (not to exceed 50 lbs.)
