We are currently seeking a Junior Desk Adjuster to join our growing team in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the insurance claims industry.
As a Junior Desk Adjuster, you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle auto, property and casualty claims through telephone and written correspondence. Working closely with clients, insureds, and field adjusters, you will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring claims are handled efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyze, and evaluate property and casualty claims.
- Conduct site inspections and gather information related to losses.
- Review policy coverage and determine claim eligibility and settlement recommendations.
- Negotiate and resolve claims in accordance with company standards and provincial licensing requirements.
- Maintain accurate claim documentation, reports, billing records, and expense records.
- Deliver timely updates and exceptional service to policyholders, clients, and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an insurance claims environment.
- Alberta Level 1 Adjuster License preferred, or actively working toward obtaining one.
- Ability to obtain adjuster licenses in multiple provinces is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of auto and casualty claims will be considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent transcription and documentation skills.
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office 365 and Windows applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
