    Job description

We are currently recruiting for Warranty Claim Specialist in Powersport, Marine personal leisure watercraft, to be placed at one of our major insurer clients.

We are seeking a Warranty Claims Specialist with experience in powersport and marine equipment to support claims adjudication within the used market. This role requires a blend of technical mechanical knowledge and warranty coverage expertise, with responsibility for assessing failures, validating repair costs, and applying extended warranty terms to ensure accurate and consistent claim decisions.

Put your claims expertise to work in a role where you can make a meaningful difference for customers. You will manage claims from investigation through settlement, collaborate with insureds, adjusters, clients, and other stakeholders, and provide responsive, high-quality service. This opportunity offers engaging work, professional connections, and the chance to strengthen your experience while maintaining accurate, well-documented claim files.

    How WorkForce Advantage Works

As a member of the WorkForce Advantage team, you will join our talent roster and may be matched with client contracts based on your availability, experience, and fit. You will remain an employee of Crawford & Company while working remotely in support of another insurance company.

Assignments typically last three to 12 months and may be extended. Depending on business needs and performance, there may also be an opportunity to transition into a permanent role with the client.

Salary range between $60,000 - $85,000 dependent on expertise and experience

    Responsibilities

    • Review, investigate, and adjudicate warranty claims for powersport vehicles, all-terrain equipment, and small marine craft
    • Interpret and apply extended warranty contracts, policy wording, and coverage provisions to determine claim eligibility
    • Evaluate repair estimates and supporting documentation to validate parts, labour, and overall claim accuracy
    • Analyze failure causes using technical knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and diagnostics
    • Differentiate between covered failures, wear-and-tear, and excluded conditions
    • Communicate claim decisions and rationale clearly with dealers, repair facilities, vendors, and internal stakeholders
    • Coordinate with repair shops and third-party inspectors to obtain required information and resolve discrepancies
    • Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, including documentation of coverage decisions and settlement outcomes
    • Monitor claim trends, identify inconsistencies, and escalate potential fraud, errors, or cost concerns
    • Ensure all claims are processed in accordance with company standards, contractual obligations, and service timelines

    Qualifications

    • 3–5+ years of experience in warranty claims, mechanical claims adjudication, or equipment-related claims handling
    • Proven ability to review and adjudicate claims, including assessing coverage, validating repair estimates, and determining eligibility based on contract terms
    • Strong understanding of extended warranty contracts, policy wording, and coverage interpretation
    • Solid technical knowledge of mechanical systems (engines, electrical systems, drivetrains, and components), ideally within powersport, automotive, or marine equipment
    • Experience analyzing repair documentation, service records, and failure descriptions to determine root cause and claim validity
    • Familiarity with parts pricing, labour guides, and repair cost validation, including OEM and aftermarket pricing structures
    • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain coverage decisions and claim outcomes
    • Experience working with repair facilities, dealerships, or service providers
    • Proficiency with claims systems and standard business applications
