The Electrical Superintendent II/III plays a key support role in overseeing electrical construction activities on complex Life Science, Food & Beverage, & Mission Critical projects. Working closely with an Electrical Superintendent III or Senior Superintendent, this role helps manage electrical subcontractors, ensure installation quality, and maintain project safety and schedule compliance.

The Superintendent II typically supports execution of specific electrical scopes—such as branch distribution, lighting, grounding, low‑voltage systems, enforcing safety and QA/QC procedures, and equipment installation

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in developing and managing short‑interval schedules, prefabrication strategies, and manpower planning for electrical scopes.
    • Coordinate daily activities with mechanical, structural, and general trades.
    • Ensure timely delivery and staging of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
    • Perform daily quality walks to verify electrical installation meets code, project specifications, and mission‑critical standards.
    • Develop plans, coordinate execution strategies and complete checklists, inspections, and turnover documentation for a rigorous QA/QC program.
    • Assist with commissioning preparation, including equipment verification and cable meggering/test readiness.
    • Support installation of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, PDUs/RPPs, grounding grids, and low‑voltage systems.
    • Participate in readiness walks and integrated systems testing with commissioning teams.
    • Ensure installation methods align with redundancy and uptime requirements (e.g., A/B feeds, segregated pathways).
    • Enforce electrical safety procedures including LOTO, arc‑flash protocols, and energized work avoidance.
    • Lead daily safety checks with field electricians and subcontractors.
    • Direct and support electrical foremen and subcontractors on daily installations.
    • Directly responsible for issue resolution with senior leadership, engineering, and other stakeholders.
    • Contribute to coordination and planning meetings as required.
    • 5–8+ years of electrical construction field experience.
    • Experience working in Life Science, Food & Beverage, or/and Mission Critical/Data Center environments is required.
    • QA/QC experience highly preferred, especially with testing, inspections, and documentation.
    • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, electrical systems, and commissioning processes.
    • Experience supervising electrical subcontractors and foremen.
    • Proficiency with common construction platforms (Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam).
    • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
