As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a Business Development Specialist, Beauty Care to work closely with customers and Croda Sales, Technical, Marketing, Regulatory and Supply Chain teams to progress projects from customer need to launch.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Beauty Care, Personal Care, cosmetics or specialty ingredients
• Customer-facing experience with brands, OEM/ODM companies or ingredient suppliers
• Good understanding of functional cosmetic ingredients, formulations and product development
• Able to coordinate customer projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Good communication skills in Mandarin and English
• Proactive, organised and willing to travel within China

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Customer Development

• Build and maintain relationships with target customers across R&D, Marketing and Procurement

• Identify customer needs and follow up new product and project opportunities

2. Opportunity & Project Management

• Match customer needs with relevant Croda products, technologies and formulations
• Coordinate samples, technical evaluations, claims, regulatory support and project timelines

3. Technical & Commercial Support

• Prepare and deliver customer presentations, workshops and product recommendations
• Support customer trials and resolve project issues with internal teams

4. Market & Team Collaboration

• Collect customer, market and competitor feedback for the China Beauty Care team
• Maintain project updates, next actions and expected business potential in CRM

Additional Information

This position will be based in Shanghai, China. Regular travel within China is required to visit customers and support industry events. Occasional international travel may be expected.
