Compressor Mechanic

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair natural gas compressors, engines and related equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and startup/shutdown procedures.

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform necessary repairs.

• Assist with equipment disassembly, transportation and reinstallation.

• Replace filters, gaskets and other components as needed.

• Assist with engine and compressor overhauls when required.

• Maintain accurate service records, operating logs and required documentation.

• Work safely and follow company policies and procedures.

• Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors and team members.

• Travel to various job sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and mechanical diagnostic equipment.

• Ability to follow maintenance procedures, read gauges and understand mechanical systems.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Basic computer skills for completing service reports and documentation.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and adapt to changing field conditions.

• Dependable, safety-conscious and professional.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining or repairing compressors in the oil and gas industry.

• Industrial maintenance, diesel engine or heavy equipment repair experience.

• Familiarity with oil and gas production equipment, including separators and dehydrators.

• Working knowledge of lubrication, cooling, ignition, pneumatic and electrical systems.
