Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and install wood, metal, and manufactured concrete forming systems.
- Form footings, foundations, walls, columns, grade beams, slabs, and other concrete structures.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and secure forming materials.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, dimensions, elevations, and layout information.
- Tying of rebar reinforcing.
- Set forms accurately to line, grade, elevation, and required dimensions.
- Install blockouts, embeds, anchor bolt templates, chamfer strips, and related components.
- Brace and secure forms to withstand concrete placement.
- Strip and clean forms following concrete placement.
- Inspect forming materials and reusable systems for damage.
- Assist with concrete placement and other concrete-related activities when needed.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and construction equipment.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area.
- Follow company safety requirements and use required PPE.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of concrete form carpentry or commercial construction experience preferred.
- Knowledge of concrete forming methods and construction practices.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction math.
- Ability to read construction plans and layout information preferred.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50–75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.
