    Job description

Built to set the gold standard for integrated AI infrastructure

Crux AI is a newly formed, U.S.-based integrated AI infrastructure company created to remove the physical and operational constraints on consequential AI ambitions. Crux brings together power, high-density data centers, TPU silicon, networking, orchestration software, and ongoing operations as one integrated system.

Crux is being capitalized to plan every layer together, develop each one to demanding standards, and operate the whole system with efficiency and reliability. That gives hyperscalers, frontier AI labs, sovereign customers, enterprises, and AI-native companies greater freedom to pursue the AI they are here to create.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

You own the technology, data, and process backbone of the People function as the company scales from startup to enterprise.

    In this role, you will:

    • Architect and build the core HR stack — HRIS as the system of record, ATS and recruiting operations, and the platforms supporting compensation cycles, benefits enrollment, and equity administration — building integrations and workflows that hold up under rapid headcount growth.

    • Beyond systems, you serve as the operational engine behind annual comp planning, open enrollment, and multi-jurisdiction compliance, while delivering the people analytics that leadership uses to make headcount, pay, and workforce decisions.

    • Contribute broadly and have HRBP and Generalist responsibilities.

    • Partner across Recruiting, Total Rewards, Finance, IT, and Legal.

    SIGNALS OF SUCCESS

After 60 days in this role:

    • Completed a full assessment and gaps analysis of our current state.

    • Prioritized the key projects based on OKRs and People Team priorities.

    • Ensured our ATS, Ashby, is fully integrated into the candidate and hiring manager workflows of recruiting.

    • Fully leveraged our HRIS, deel, to run core people team processes, as well as make and implement changes based on our needs and feedback.

    • Revamped our employee onboarding process and experience.

    • Adapted to a fast-paced environment, triaging appropriately and continuously improving our function.

    After 6 months:

    • Demonstrated an AI-forward and automated approach to this role. You built, in a hands-on way, our core processes, models and People Team AI agents.

    • Developed our philosophy and program manage our performance & development process and prioritize key elements of our employee experience.

    • Reviewed our current benefits offering, benchmark those programs and select new offering based on our employees and competitive landscape.

    • Refined our compensation and total reward philosophy and corresponding program and administration.

    After 1 year:

    • Ensure we are compliant and audit ready.

    • Contribute to any operational workstreams in partnership with finance and legal.

    • Demonstrated consistent operational excellence and having impeccable attention to detail.

    • Implemented innovative approaches to the People Ops processes, programs and team.

EXPERIENCES, ATTRIBUTES AND MINDSET THAT INDICATE A GOOD MATCH

    Experiences

    • 8+ years experience in HR and Talent operations and systems at a leading, talent-dense, operationally rigorous company.

    • Implemented a modern HR tech stack and operated in a lean, AI-enabled environment.

    • Hands-on experience leading high visibility projects and programs in compensation, benefits, performance, L&D, recruiting and employee engagement.

    Attributes

    • You are outcome driven and hands on. Close enough to the work to be useful. This is a builder's seat, not a supervisory one.

    Mindset

    • You have a high tolerance for ambiguity. You absorb ambiguity and navigate complexity rather than passing it along.

Nice to have (preferred, not required)

    • Hardware, infrastructure or data center industry experience.

    • Experience in both start up and scaled enterprises.

    • HRBP, HR Generalist, or Employee Relations experience.

    Salary Range Information

The annual salary range for this position has been estimated based on market data and other factors. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.

    • Health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents

    • Company-paid life insurance and disability

    • Full suite of other optional benefits

    About the company

    Crux AI

Built to set the gold standard for integrated AI infrastructure   Crux AI is a newly formed, U.S.-based integrated AI infrastructure company created to remove the physical and operational constraints on the world’s most consequential AI ambitions. Crux will finance, develop, and operate the full chain required to deliver large-scale TPU compute—from power and high-density data centers to silicon, networking, orchestration software, and ongoing operations—as one integrated system.   Those ambitions extend far beyond frontier models. They include faster drug discovery, earlier diagnoses, personalized treatment, mathematical breakthroughs, adaptive education, robotics for disaster response, energy optimization, national security, and data sovereignty. Their progress depends on reliable access to large blocks of accelerated compute—and on the power, facilities, networks, software, and technical expertise required to keep that compute running.   Crux is being capitalized and designed to address these constraints together. Its integrated model supports long-range capacity planning, efficient data center development, optimized TPU clusters, flexible service commitments, and dependable production operations. Crux will serve hyperscalers, frontier AI labs, sovereign and public-sector customers, global enterprises, and AI-native companies through compute-as-a-service and related infrastructure services.   This is the standard Crux is being built to set: every layer planned together, financed for the long term, and operated as one system—giving customers the freedom to focus on the AI they are here to create.
