What you’ll do:
- Performs surgical scrub; dons OR attire and PPE; assists with gowning, gloving, and draping
- Prepares and maintains sterile field; gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment.
- Assists with patient positioning, skin preparation, and intraoperative tasks such as suctioning, sponging, passing instruments, and cutting sutures.
- Measures and passes medications, hemostatic agents, and irrigation solutions (does not administer medications).
- Handles specimens according to policy; prepares bone/tissue products (excluding ACL graft).
- Operates sterilizers and surgical equipment; ensures proper functioning and safe use.
- Participates in time-out procedures and post-operative care, including dressing application and patient transfer.
- May assist as second technologist during complex procedures (e.g., holding retractors, applying electrocautery, connecting drains, applying dressings).
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Completion of an approved accredited surgical technology program or military training.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in field or profession preferred
- Certification: Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist is preferred.
Schedule: 4-10 hour shifts/flex with call shift requirements
