Essential Job Functions:
- Cover the press line for all hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Work on and make permanent improvements to all building, production and maintenance systems.
- Complete appropriate documentation and logbooks.
- Support and assist all work centers.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on all building, production and maintenance equipment.
- Assist in setting molds and dies when necessary.
- Keep machinery, equipment and plant structure in operating condition.
- Maintain and install piping, fittings, valves, gauges, traps and all types of controls for high- and low-pressure hydraulic systems and steam and air lines.
- If assigned second or third shift, complete die changes and project work.
- Preventative maintenance, lubrication of various machinery.
- Responsible for any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assist in shut down and start-up of the plant according to procedures.
- Cover for vacations and illness on the shift and be able to work overtime on short notice.
- Has responsibility for continuous improvement, corrective actions and quality of products.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be able to read electrical, hydraulic and wiring print. Must be able to prioritize workload with other work centers.
- Must possess a valid tow motor license.
- May be required to work overtime with little or no notice.
- May be required to rotate shifts when needed.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills. High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Strong organizational skills. Ability to handle a wide variety and diversity of tasks.
