Scope:
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintains inventory records of all items in Storeroom.
- Posts to computerized inventory.
- Records new materials received and materials dispensed as recorded on requisitions.
- Prepares items to be delivered, verifying, labeling, and storing items received for inventory control and noting any discrepancies.
- Performs daily and periodic cyclical inventory counts to verify inventory records and correct any discrepancies.
- Also, performs physical inventory of storeroom items as required.
- Receives goods and supplies.
- Properly documents receipt of non-stock and stock inventory items.
- Stocks bins and cabinets with inventory items.
- Based on issue documents, storekeeper distributes materials from storeroom by part and employee badge number and obtains requisition slip(s) for each item.
The duties will include:
- Initial ID/Labeling of Inventory
- Purging of Old Inventory
- Re-labeling Inventory and Excel Spreadsheet Data Entry Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Experience in material and inventory control, shipping, receiving, expediting and warehousing
- Previous experience driving forklift is desired.
- Candidate must have driver’s license
- Computer experience – Word, Excel
This is a Temporary/Contract position.
- Location areas: Walt Whitman Bridge, the Ben Franklin Bridge, the Commodore Barry Bridge and the Betsy Ross Bridge.
- Duration of contract: 7 Months maybe longer
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma, 3 + Years
- Pay Rate: $14- $20 per hr
