    Job description

    As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for any and all functions relating to the accounts payable process.

    Your impact:

    • Enter invoices in the accounting system, generate reports and process checks with an extremely high level of accuracy.
    • Confirm and verify purchase orders.
    • Communicate with vendors on product shipping errors and shortages.
    • Maintain records and files in accordance with established filing system.
    • Assist with the completion of the month-end closing in a timely manner by ensuring all transactions in a given month are properly entered into the system.
    • Monitor all vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts.
    • Identify transactions that do not comply with the Company’s policies and escalate to the appropriate manager.
    • Answer questions from peers and other departments.
    • Keep track credits owed to the company and properly apply all credits to vendor payments.

    Your Profile:

    • At least three years of accounts payable experience.
    • Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
    • High school diploma required. Associate Degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
    • Ability to learn Company’s Accounting Software.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to consistently meet established deadlines.
