Area Manager - Mining (Central)

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets and retail volume goals for the assigned region (Central India)
• Ensure profitable growth, achieve targeted volume  and maintain the required market share year over year accordance to allocated resources.
• Identify and pursue new customer opportunities within the region.
• Introduce new products to the market and drive their successful adoption.
• Conduct monthly meetings with customers and financiers to generate leads and foster relationships.
• Organize and execute demo and loaded trials at preferred locations to showcase our products.
• Train and coach the dealer sales team to enhance their performance and sales skills.
• Ensure the dealer sales team follows the DICV sales process, including CRM and TCO applications.
• Monitor and track the performance of new products, especially those designed for mining applications (coal, OB, lignite).
• Stay updated on competitor activities and provide valuable feedback to the team.

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech - Mechanical , Automobile or related fields.
• 8-10 years of experience in sales of commercial vehicles or construction equipment, with a focus on the mining industry.
• Proven experience in handling channel service for the mining industry.
• In-depth knowledge of the Indian mining industry, commercial vehicle processes, and Indian CV products.
• Strategic and conceptual competence, coupled with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire a high-performing sales team.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Proficiency in using CRM and sales management tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region for business purposes.
