The Opportunity
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone early in their marketing career who is looking to build practical experience across brand marketing and retail sales support, with exposure to corporate communications.
Reporting to the Marketing & Promotions Manager, the Marketing & Retail Sales Coordinator supports the execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, in-store initiatives, and related communications while working closely with the retail sales team on account materials, merchandising, and promotional activities.
The role offers broad exposure to the commercial side of ADL and is well suited to someone who is organized, creative, confident working with people, and eager to learn how marketing and sales work together to support a well-known local brand.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital, social media, print, and in-store channels.
- Assist with maintaining ADL’s social media presence through content creation, scheduling, and day-to-day coordination.
- Support internal and external communications, including newsletters, website content, company announcements, public-facing updates, and other corporate messaging.
- Coordinate marketing materials, promotional assets, and packaging updates with internal teams and external vendors.
- Assist with market research and monitor competitor activity and trends within the PEI and Atlantic Canada dairy market.
- Support the planning and coordination of community events, sponsorships, trade shows, media opportunities, and other promotional activities that strengthen ADL’s brand and community presence.
Retail Sales Support
- Support the sales team in preparing account materials, sell sheets, product information, and promotional proposals for retail partners.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of retail promotions, including merchandising follow-through and store visits as required.
- Track promotional activity and results to support sales planning and future initiatives.
- Support positive working relationships with retail partner contacts alongside the sales team.
- Provide professional service to walk-in customers purchasing products on-site.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for retail sales initiatives and promotional activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Previous experience in marketing, communications, retail, or sales support is considered an asset; internship, co-op, and relevant summer work experience will be considered.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with confidence engaging with customers, community partners, vendors, and the public.
- Comfortable using social media platforms and basic content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe, or similar.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within PEI for retail store visits, events, and other business activities.
- Training or experience in communications, public relations, content development, or a related area is considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
- $46,000–$50,000 annually, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
