Parts Clerk – Maintenance Department
Permanent Full-Time Position - Summerside, PE

Position Overview:
The Parts Clerk supports the Maintenance Department by receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributing maintenance parts and supplies. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role helps ensure parts are available when needed, inventory records remain accurate, and the maintenance storeroom is kept safe, organized, and efficient.
Location: ADL Water St. - 79 Water St., Summerside, PE
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, verify, label, and store incoming parts and supplies in designated locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory management systems.
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the Inventory Coordinator or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assist with adjusting inventory reorder points based on usage trends.
- Complete scheduled inventory cycle counts, including weekly, quarterly, and annual counts.
Parts Distribution
- Process requisitions and retrieve, issue, and track maintenance parts and consumables for Maintenance personnel.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded, and storage locations remain orderly and accessible.
Shipping and Returns
- Prepare and process warranty returns, core returns, vendor-loaned parts, and interdepartmental transfers.
- Coordinate shipping arrangements, documentation, return orders, and shipments to other ADL locations as required.
Vendor Support
- Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and part availability.
- Assist with sourcing parts, verifying order accuracy, and picking up parts from local suppliers as required.
Storeroom Organization
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storeroom.
- Ensure inventory is properly identified and stored, including the disposal of packaging materials from incoming shipments.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, maintenance stores, parts distribution, or a related environment is considered an asset.
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office applications, and inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain accurate records.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
- Forklift certification or previous forklift experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
