Daniels Health is seeking an experienced General Contractor to lead commercial construction, renovation, and equipment installation projects across our growing network of facilities. This role is responsible for overseeing multiple projects, managing skilled trades and subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. If you thrive in a fast-paced construction environment, enjoy leading diverse teams, and have a proven track record delivering complex projects, we'd love to hear from you.

    What you will do

    • Lead commercial construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects across multiple locations.
    • Oversee the installation and integration of critical infrastructure and industrial equipment, including autoclaves, wash lines, compactors, boiler rooms, plumbing, gas piping, and electrical systems.
    • Travel approximately 50% to conduct site walks, inspections, progress reviews, and project closeout activities.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, MEP drawings, and equipment specifications to guide project execution.
    • Solicit, evaluate, and manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality work, competitive pricing, and timely project delivery.
    • Direct and mentor skilled trades teams, providing guidance, performance feedback, and safety leadership.
    • Monitor project budgets, schedules, documentation, and reporting while proactively addressing risks and delays.
    • Ensure all work complies with building codes, permitting requirements, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards.

    What we are looking for

    • 3+ years of experience as a General Contractor or in a comparable commercial construction, project management, or site leadership role.
    • Valid General Contractor license or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment
    • OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
    • Experience managing multiple skilled trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, and other subcontracted services.
    • Strong knowledge of commercial building systems, including boiler rooms, gas piping, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure.
    • Experience obtaining, evaluating, and negotiating bids, contracts, scopes of work, and change orders with contractors and subcontractors.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, MEP drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
    • Working knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, OSHA regulations, and construction safety best practices.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, vendor management, and project management skills, with the ability to travel approximately 50% and pass required background and drug screenings.
