As the Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our internal controls and processes. You will lead a team of auditors, providing guidance and expertise to maintain the highest standards of financial reporting and compliance. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing comprehensive audit programs, evaluating internal controls, and identifying areas for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute comprehensive audit programs across various business units and functions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance frameworks.
- Identify areas of improvement and recommend practical solutions to enhance internal processes.
- Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the real estate industry.
- Mentor and develop a team of auditors, providing guidance and support for professional growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement audit recommendations and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to maintain audit effectiveness.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
- 12-15 years of experience in real estate auditing, with a focus on the UAE market.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional certification.
- Proven track record in leading and managing internal audit functions in a real estate organization.
- Strong knowledge of real estate industry practices, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex issues and develop practical solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using audit software and tools for planning, executing, and reporting audits.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring professionals.
- Flexibility to travel within the UAE as required for audit engagements and site visits.
