Job Description:

About the Role 

Darktrace is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President, Enterprise Analytics to establish and lead the enterprise analytics function responsible for measuring, understanding, and communicating business performance across the organization. 

Reporting to senior leadership, this role will define and maintain the integrity of Darktrace's key business metrics, develop self-service analytics capabilities, and provide executive-level insights that drive strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will build and lead a high-performing team of Data Analysts, BI Analysts, and Analytics Engineers while leveraging modern AI-enabled analytics practices to improve efficiency, scalability, and business impact. 

This is a highly visible leadership role that will partner closely with executive stakeholders including the CEO, CFO, Finance, Sales Operations, Product, Engineering, and Data leadership teams to ensure alignment around business performance and operational effectiveness. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

• Own the definition, calculation methodology, governance, documentation, and ongoing accuracy of Darktrace's key business metrics, including ARR, ATR, bookings, pipeline, and product usage metrics. 

• Establish and manage enterprise metric governance processes, including ownership models, approval workflows, change controls, and audit trails. 

• Serve as the primary analytics partner to executive leadership, delivering data-driven insights, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations. 

• Partner closely with the VP of Data to create a seamless operating model spanning data platforms, data engineering, business intelligence, and analytics. 

• Develop and maintain enterprise data products, dashboards, reporting solutions, and self-service analytics capabilities. 

• Enable and support analysts across the organization by promoting analytics standards, best practices, governance frameworks, and common tooling. 

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Data Analysts, BI Analysts, and Analytics Engineers. 

• Champion the adoption of AI-powered analytics tools, agentic workflows, and automation capabilities. 

• Collaborate with AI Enablement, Adoption, and Engineering teams to leverage approved AI platforms and best practices. 

• Partner with Finance, Sales Operations, Product, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to align reporting, metrics, and business performance measurements. 

• Apply SDLC methodologies, testing, version control, release management, and Agile delivery frameworks within analytics workflows. 

• Ensure reporting processes, controls, and metric governance frameworks meet public company standards, including auditability, transparency, and compliance requirements. 

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• Significant leadership experience within Enterprise Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related function, ideally at Director or VP level. 

• Demonstrated experience owning and governing enterprise-wide business metrics within a SaaS or subscription-based business. 

• Strong expertise in SaaS metrics, including ARR, ACV, Bookings, ATR, NRR, sales pipeline analytics, and marketing funnel performance. 

• Proven track record developing and scaling enterprise reporting platforms, dashboards, embedded analytics, and self-service data products. 

• Experience partnering with Data Engineering and Data Platform teams to establish effective enterprise data and analytics operating models. 

• Strong understanding of CRM, ERP, and enterprise business systems. 

• Experience presenting business performance insights to Executive Leadership Teams, Boards of Directors, and investors. 

• Demonstrated experience building, managing, and developing teams of Analysts, BI professionals, and Analytics Engineers. 

• Strong understanding of AI and agentic technologies, including practical application in analytics environments. 

• Experience implementing AI-driven analytics workflows, automation capabilities, or production-grade AI agents. 

• Strong experience working with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric. 

• Experience applying Agile methodologies and SDLC principles to analytics, BI, or data product delivery. 

• Excellent SQL, data modeling, and analytical problem-solving skills. 

• Experience with modern BI and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. 

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. 

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 

• Experience within a publicly traded company or an organization preparing for IPO/public market readiness preferred. 

• Experience within a high-growth SaaS, cybersecurity, AI, or technology company preferred. 

This position will ideally be hybrid in our London office (will consider remote) or remote on the east coast of the US
