Senior Civil Engineer

Davis & Floyd is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Site Design Team in our Columbia, SC office. Responsibilities Lead the development of project manuals and oversee the bidding process through award Manage all aspects of site design, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, water and sewer systems, pump stations/force mains, erosion control, SWPPP, and technical reporting Prepare construction cost estimates and support project bidding and construction administration Provide technical guidance, problem-solving, and mentorship to engineers and technical staff Review and prepare site designs, drawings, and technical/front-end specifications Plan, coordinate, and manage daily project activities, schedules, budgets, and scope Conduct pre-construction meetings and oversee submittals, pay requests, change orders, and construction-phase activities Direct field efforts including surveys, testing, and construction engineering support Serve as a primary client contact, managing communication and expectations Ensure quality control and compliance with company standards and project requirements Support business development through client meetings, presentations, and public engagement Lead and facilitate meetings with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams Effectively resolve complex or sensitive issues both internally and externally Mentor and develop team members
