    Job Purpose:

    The Team Lead, Supply Chain Finance will be responsible for driving the growth and strategic direction of the Supply Chain Finance business at a country level. This role involves leading a team to acquire, deepen, and manage client relationships, ensuring the delivery of innovative supply chain finance solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding market share, achieving financial targets, and fostering strong internal and external partnerships to enhance our value proposition in the supply chain ecosystem.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Lead and develop the country-level Supply Chain Finance strategy, aligning with the bank's overall business objectives.
    • Drive the acquisition of new-to-bank clients within the supply chain finance segment and expand relationships with existing clients.
    • Manage the P&L and balance sheet for the Supply Chain Finance portfolio at the country level.
    • Ensure the team achieves its monthly and annual sales and revenue targets for supply chain finance products and services.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
    • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including product management, operations, risk, credit control, legal, and other corporate business units, to ensure seamless delivery and customer-centric solutions.
    • Build, sustain, and strengthen partnerships within the supply chain ecosystem, including with industry associations and fintechs.
    • Promote a "One Bank" approach by fostering collaboration across different business units to deliver integrated financial solutions to clients.
    • Ensure strict adherence to all KYC/AML requirements and regulatory guidelines.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure their continuous development and achievement of targets.
    • Oversee the sourcing of new-to-bank supply chain finance customers in the respective markets as per agreed metrics.
    • Monitor the performance of sourced and existing portfolios, actively seeking opportunities to be the primary financial partner for clients.
    • Identify training needs for the team and self, coordinating with central teams for relevant training programs.
    • Provide regular feedback to central teams on improving brand visibility and product offerings in the market.
    • Organize and conduct promotional activities to build a healthy pipeline of supply chain finance business.
    • Ensure high standards of compliance and risk management in all supply chain finance activities.

    Requirements:

    • Overall 12-18 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, with a significant focus on Supply Chain Finance.
    • Proven track record in sales, business development, and relationship management within supply chain finance, trade finance, or transaction banking.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, with strong leadership and people development skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of supply chain finance products, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
    • Experience operating at a country or regional level, managing diverse stakeholder relationships.

    Education:

    • An MBA or CA is preferable, with relevant years of experience in banking and specifically in transaction banking and supply chain finance.

    • Knowledge of local and international regulatory guidelines impacting supply chain finance, including KYC requirements and Anti-Money Laundering Policies.
    • Proficiency in financial markets, products, and competitor offerings to facilitate meaningful client dialogue.

    Work Relationship:

    • Effectively manage teams, including supporting client visits and engagements.
    • Collaborate closely with Branch Managers and other relevant departments to ensure consistent achievement of sales targets.
    • Responsible for performance management within the team, including addressing underperformance and rewarding high achievers.
    • Engage closely with product teams for suitable product development, customization, and training initiatives.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners and third-party providers in the supply chain ecosystem.
    • Possess strong working relationships with internal service partners such as Product Management, Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.
