European SAO Limited are recruiting for a Ground Operations Controller as a technical member of the Operations Control Centre.
The Operations Controller vacancy is an amazing opportunity for a qualified officer with aviation skills and ambition who is seeking a challenging role in a diverse and fast paced environment.
The OCC role within the Company Group is a key component because it acts as a centralised point of contact to manage various activities within the different deployed bases around Europe, having constant communication and coordination with all involved parties and departments.
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the Operational aspects and maintains the data required for management of the flight schedule
- Support Ground Operations Department on the daily monitoring of tasks (e.g. fulfil client requirements)
- Liaison with internal and external stakeholders for different arrangements and coordination
- Coordinate and liaise with the crew members for flight schedule, climate condition, geographical factors and ensuring that country-specific requirements are complied with
- Undertake flight feasibility checks including FTL monitoring and NOTAMs. Ensures that the necessary handling, permits, fuel and airport requests are coordinated and confirmed to carry out the flight programs
- Compiles a Crew Briefing pack including an operational flight plan and executes crew control instructions for crew travel and hotel accommodation arrangements when required
- Communicates with the CAMO Manager on the operational status of the aircrafts and the planning for the maintenance events
- Participates in the functioning of the Emergency Response Plan within the Operations Control Centre
- Office Administration; liaise with the internal stakeholders for office organisation
Essential and mandatory requirements:
- Must have the right to live and work in Malta
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Experience in flight dispatch/ground operations control in a Business Aviation environment
- IT Proficient - capable of working with Google work space or Microsoft Office and willing to learn/use aviation specific software
- Teamplayer with a proactive attitude able to take initiative with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt and handle last minute changes
- Ability to prioritise and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Able to occasionally travel to other European countries or the United Kingdom
Desirable requirements:
- PPL, Flight Dispatcher licence or Aviation related qualification
- Experience in International Aviation Network Planning
- Driving licence
