Days 184
Pay Grade 1
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food according to established procedures and methods.
- Use and care for equipment properly.
- Apply the rules of safety and sanitation to insure care in food handling, safety in work, and reduction of accidents.
- Assist in assigned clean-up operations following food preparation or a serving period.
- Capable of lifting forty (40) pounds.
- Meet requirements established by the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and Summer Feeding Program.
- Perform other duties and assignments assigned by the cafeteria manager.
Qualifications:
- Food Service Experience Required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Read and Speak English Required
- Basic Math Skills
- Demonstrates good personal appearance and cleanliness in work habits

- Tools/Equipment Used: Uses large and small kitchen equipment to include electric slicer, mixer, pressure steamer, deep-fat fryer, and sharp cutting tools; ovens; dishwasher; and food and utility carts
- Posture/Motion/Environment: Continual standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing (ladder); moderate lifting and carrying; moderate exposure to extreme hot and/or cold temperatures. Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
