General Statement of Responsibilities:
Demonstrate aptitude for successful completion of below listed tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of DPISD
- Maintain appropriate discipline and student safety in the cafeteria according to district policies and procedures
- Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately, or as soon as reasonably possible
- Supervise student behavior during the lunch period to include serving lines, while eating and during cafeteria dismissal
- Assist student with managing food items, opening milk cartons,, packages, thermo or cans
- Maintain a positive attitude when communicating with teachers, parents, students and staff
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Skill in coping with a variety of students in varied situations
- Physical demands/environmental factors include frequent walking, standing, light lifiting, bending, stooping, reaching
- Vocal communication required
- Visual activity required for monitoring and determining needs of students
