Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follows and enforces employee’s safety procedures
- Report any unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor or manager
- Follow, Monitor, and Enforce all food safety procedures
- Follows and enforces SQF requirements (Facilities, Equipment, SSOP, SOP, GMP’s, and ETC)
- Follows and enforces USDA & FDA guidelines and regulations.
- Follow Company Policies, Regulations, and Lunch & Break Policies
Position Area Duties (1-6 listed below)
- Processing of Del Real product samples requests – proactively improve current process.
- Receive sample request from sales team, process on a timely basis.
- Ensure product samples meet company quality standards and customer specifications before shipments.
- Send sample confirmations to sales team
- Request Sales Orders (SO) from customer service if needed
- Print samples labels
- Track shipments and follow up to confirm receipt.
- Maintain Samples area clean and organized
- Provide weekly samples’ inventory at the plant (Samples Room) and include if any inventory is stored at Inland DC.
- Limit samples area waste
- If product’s shelf life is 2 weeks or less, please coordinate donation or employee giveaway.
- Deliver samples to customers if needed.
- Provide R & D with assistance on all pertinent projects
- Assist with all necessary sample shipping materials
- Assist with all bench top samples organization and inform R & D team when samples are being completed
- Pull products and/or ingredients for R&D from the plant
- Attend events, road shows and assist the marketing department if needed.
Specific Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to work 40 hours a week
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong Attention to detail and accuracy
Requirements and Duties:
C. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Food Handling Certification (preferred)
- Fork lift driving certification (preferred)
