The opportunity
AI is moving from augmenting individual tasks to redesigning how enterprises operate.
As organisations deploy increasingly capable AI agents, the strategic question is no longer simply where to apply artificial intelligence. It is how work, processes, functions, operating models, decision rights, technology and human roles should change when digital agents become active participants in the enterprise.
Deloitte Africa Engineering, AI & Data Advisory is building a differentiated capability focused on that problem.
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Manager – Agentic Enterprise Transformation to help lead and scale this capability across Africa.
This is not primarily an AI implementation role, nor is it a conventional technology strategy position. It is a senior advisory and practice-building role for someone able to work at the intersection of strategy, domain and functional transformation, process redesign, AI, operating model and technology-enabled execution.
You will advise senior executives on how agentic AI changes the enterprise, translate that ambition into investable transformation programs, and mobilise the broader Engineering, AI & Data organisation to execute.
Your mandate
As the capability steward for Agentic Enterprise Transformation, you will work directly with the EAID Advisory Practice Leader to build one of the practice's flagship growth businesses.
You will be expected to create demand, shape propositions, lead client discussions and build capability, not simply manage work originated by others.
Your remit will span four dimensions:
Market and commercial leadership. Build a distinctive market position for Deloitte around agentic enterprise transformation. Develop senior client relationships, identify transformation opportunities, shape propositions, originate qualified pipeline and convert opportunities into material advisory and implementation programs.
Client advisory. Advise CEOs, CIOs, COOs, CDOs and functional executives on where agentic AI can fundamentally redesign work and create enterprise value. Structure ambiguous executive questions into clear strategic choices, transformation pathways and investment decisions.
Transformation architecture. Translate enterprise ambition into executable programs spanning business process redesign, human-agent operating models, organisation and workforce implications, AI platforms, data, architecture, governance, adoption and change.
Capability building. Develop Deloitte's methods, propositions, accelerators, thought leadership, talent and ecosystem relationships in agentic transformation, while orchestrating specialists from across AI, Data, Cloud, Engineering, Strategy and industry teams.
What you will do
You will lead work including:
The profile we are looking for
We are looking for an unusually strong combination of strategist, transformation leader, technologist and commercial consultant.
You should bring:
A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, information systems or a related field is expected. A relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not essential.
What will distinguish exceptional candidates
The strongest candidates will have already done some combination of the following:
How success will be measured
Success in this role is broader than utilisation or project delivery.
You will be expected to demonstrate:
Why this role is different
Most AI roles ask leaders to deploy AI.
This role asks a different question: What should the enterprise become when intelligent digital agents can increasingly reason, act and collaborate alongside people?
You will have the opportunity to help answer that question with some of Africa's largest organisations and then turn those answers into transformation programs that can actually be executed.
Note: The list of tasks / duties and responsibilities contained in this document is not necessarily exhaustive. Deloitte may ask the employee to carry out additional duties or responsibilities, which may fall reasonably within the ambit of the role profile, depending on operational requirements.
