Lead Data Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to support a growing portfolio of Flight Safety data, analytics, and operational decision-support needs. The role operates across multiple products and workflows and focuses on building, maintaining, and improving high-quality, reliable data assets.

Responsible (R) for execution and technical implementation. Contributes to solution design decisions; does not own prioritization decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines that support recurring and ad hoc safety analytics needs
• Support multiple data products, workflows, and operational processes across a shared Flight Safety portfolio
• Translate evolving business, analytical, and operational needs into scalable and practical data solutions
• Monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues, and improve the reliability, consistency, and usability of data assets
• Contribute to standards, documentation, and repeatable practices for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery
• Support integration of new data sources, taxonomy updates, and process improvements across safety-related products and workflows
• Bring structure to loosely defined requests and shifting priorities across several workstreams
• Partner with internal stakeholders, analysts, and technical collaborators to ensure solutions are maintainable, useful, and aligned to business needs
• Support a culture of continuous improvement through disciplined engineering practices, transparency, and follow-through
