Role Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Developer to join our Crew IT team in DTH Bangalore. This role will lead cross-domain development coordination efforts in building AI enabled technological solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a passion for AI-driven innovation, and hands-on experience in building Agentic AI-based solutions aligned with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and enterprise standards.
This is a strategic and hands-on role that will help increase operational data visibility, optimize architectural decisions, and drive the development of scalable, intelligent IT solutions.
To be clear on scope: this remains fundamentally a hands-on software development role — roughly 70% core engineering (design, coding, testing, and shipping production features) and 30% applied AI, using AI-assisted tools and building agentic capabilities on top of that core work. Candidates should expect to write and own production code as a primary, ongoing responsibility, not solely build and manage AI agents.
Key Responsibilities:
Cross-Domain Development Leadership
- Coordinate development efforts across multiple internal IT domains and external airline partners.
- Ensure seamless integration and interaction between Delta’s systems and partner airline IT platforms.
- Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners.
AI Innovation-Based Solution Development
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools and vibe coding environments (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Kiro) to accomplish tasks such as generating and reviewing code, writing and maintaining tests, creating documentation, and debugging, with the judgment to validate and own AI-generated output.
- Envision, prototype, and build Agentic AI-based solutions to enhance operational data visibility.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and evolve them into production-ready applications.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and apply them to solve complex business challenges.
Cloud & Architecture Innovation
- Design and develop cloud-native solutions using AWS , ensuring compliance with Model Context Protocol (MCP) guidelines.
- Leverage AWS Developer CLI for efficient deployment and automation of cloud-native applications.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of IT architecture within Delta’s IT domains.
- Implement responsible AI principles and enterprise governance for ethical AI deployment.
Innovation & Organizational Engagement
- Drive innovation through participation in hackathons, innovation labs, and cross-functional ideation sessions.
- Advocate for modern engineering practices and scalable design principles.
