    Job description

    About CKC Automation

CKC Automation transforms manufacturing processes through innovative automation solutions. Founded in 2005 (as CKC Engineering) and headquartered in Benicia, CA, we serve diverse industries across the Bay Area and West Coast — including automotive, medical device, pharmaceutical, energy, and semiconductor — combining deep technical expertise with creative problem-solving to tackle complex manufacturing challenges. We design and build custom automation solutions that improve efficiency, enhance quality, and drive innovation.

    Our offerings include:

    • Machine — Robotic workcells, build-to-print solutions, prototype equipment, and fixtures
    • Panel — High-volume panel assembly from our UL 508A-certified panel shop
    • Controls / Data — PLC, HMI, and robotic integration for optimized production. Real-time monitoring, analytics, and SCADA/data infrastructure

    Why Join Us

    • Get out from behind the desk—design, build, troubleshoot, and support real industrial control systems that go from concept to production
    • Own electrical engineering projects from customer requirements through design, procurement, manufacturing, and delivery
    • Work hands-on with control panels, electrical systems, and the people who build and use them
    • Partner directly with customers, sales, project management, supply chain, and manufacturing to solve problems and deliver results
    • Join a high-performance engineering team that values technical excellence, accountability, and getting the job done right
    • Have a direct impact on the quality, efficiency, and success of the products we deliver to customers

    About the Role

We’re hiring a hands-on Electrical Engineer to design and support industrial control panels and electrical systems from concept through production.

You’ll work across the full project lifecycle—understanding customer requirements, developing electrical designs, supporting procurement and manufacturing, resolving issues, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

This is not a role where you simply create drawings and hand them off. You’ll stay close to the work, collaborate directly with manufacturing and supply chain, participate in customer discussions, and help solve problems when challenges arise.

You’ll work side-by-side with other Engineers, Project Managers, Sales, manufacturing, and customers. We’re looking for an engineer who is technically capable, highly accountable, communicates reliably, and takes ownership of their work.

If you enjoy turning requirements into practical electrical solutions, solving problems, and seeing your designs become real products, you’ll fit right in.

    What We’re Looking For

    • 2–5 years of experience with electrical control systems, industrial controls, or electrical engineering
    • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to turn requirements into practical solutions
    • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
    • Ability to identify problems, take action, and follow through to resolution
    • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a broader engineering team
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Comfortable working directly with customers, manufacturing personnel, and cross-functional teams
    • A high level of ownership, reliability, and accountability
    • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and continuously improve technical and business skills
