    <p style="margin-right:.25in;text-align:justify;"><strong><em>Business Development Manager: role & purpose</em></strong></p><p style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%;">The Business Development Manager is a strategic market development and demand creation role, responsible for expanding the presence and adoption of Dextra solutions (Bars, Geotec, FRP) through early-stage influence and upstream engagement.</p><div><br></div><p style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%;">He/She drives market penetration by targeting key applications, consultants, authorities, and project owners, ensuring Dextra systems are specified, approved, and positioned early in the design phase.</p><div><br></div><p style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%;">Acting as a bridge between markets, Product Management, Engineering, and Sales, the role shapes technical preference, contributes to long-term growth, and supports revenue generation by enabling project capture through specification influence and standardization.

    This role is not a sales function but is a key commercial growth enabler within the new organization.</p><div><br></div><div><b><u>Main

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    </u></b></div><p style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%;"><strong>Market Development & Demand Creation</strong></p><ul style="margin-top:0in;" type="disc"><li style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%; ">Identify and prioritize high‑potential applications, segments and stakeholders to accelerate specification and market penetration.</li></ul><ul><li>Target key consultants, designers, project owners and authorities to influence early design decisions.</li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in;" type="disc"><li style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%; ">Support regional teams on mega‑projects, strategic customers, and cross‑territory opportunities.</li><li style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%; ">Actively support and align with the global Key Account Management approach by contributing upstream insights, technical positioning, and specification strategies for Dextra’s Key Accounts.</li><li style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%; ">Provide early upstream intelligence to regions and BD leadership to maximize Dextra’s commercial positioning on major projects.</li><li style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%; ">Work closely with regional Sales teams to support the conversion of specification wins into revenue, tracking influence-to-sales conversion.</li></ul><p style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%;"><strong>Specification Influence & Stakeholders Engagement</strong></p><ul><li>Promote Dextra solutions to engineering firms, designers, consultants, authorities and project owners and drive adoption of Dextra technical specifications for Bars, Geotec and FRP Products.</li><li>Drive the adoption of Dextra technical specifications in early design stages</li><li>Deliver technical presentations and value‑engineering discussions that support commercial differentiation.</li><li>Maintain active engagement throughout early project phases to secure specification positioning.</li><li>Support regions in adapting and deploying specifications according to local market needs.</li></ul><p style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%;"><strong>Market Intelligence & Portfolio Feedback</strong></p><ul><li>Identify product gaps, market opportunities, and competitive threats, then communicate these to Product Management for roadmap alignment.</li><li>Provide structured feedback on application trends, market needs, and competitor strategies.</li><li>Propose improvements to existing specifications based on field experience, project feedback, and market evolution.</li><li>Provide guidance to regions on how to adopt or adapt specifications for local markets.</li></ul><div><strong>Technical Advocacy and Sales Enablement</strong></div><ul><li>Consolidate and structure testing evidence in coordination with Product Management, Product Engineering & Performance, and QC to support approvals, specifications, and technical credibility, ensuring full traceability and compliance.</li><li>Develop and maintain design guidance notes, standard technical details, and application recommendations.</li><li>Provide concept-level technical support (design justification, compliance note) during complex tenders and strategic pursuits.</li><li>Support approvals, certifications, and acceptance by authorities and key clients.</li><li>Maintain Dextra’s presence on approved product lists for consultants, contractors, and governmental authorities and track inclusion in ongoing tenders and projects</li><li>Clearly communicate Dextra’s technical advantages and validated product capabilities to project stakeholders.</li><li>Ensure that all specifications, design notes, and technical positioning remain fully aligned with validated product capabilities and approved performance limits.</li></ul><div><strong>Market Intelligence & Portfolio Feedback</strong></div><ul><li>Identify product gaps, emerging applications, and competitive threats.</li><li>Provide structured market feedback to Product Management to support roadmap alignment.</li><li>Propose improvements to specifications based on field experience and market evolution.</li><li>Highlight opportunities where Dextra is underrepresented and support targeted penetration strategies.</li></ul><div><strong>Standardization & Industry Positioning</strong></div><ul><li>Participate in national and international standardization committees, technical working groups, and industry associations, to support market acceptance and commercial growth.</li><li>Lead submissions and documentation supporting standards, approvals, and regulatory recognition.</li><li>Advocate for acceptance of Dextra solutions within applicable codes and approval frameworks.</li><li>Track and analyze upcoming regulatory changes impacting Bars, Geotec, or FRP Products.</li><li>Ensure all standardization initiatives support long-term product positioning and market growth.</li></ul><p style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%;"><strong><u>Scope Boundaries:</u></strong></p><p style="text-align:justify;line-height:115%;">The role directly contributes to revenue growth by creating demand, enabling specifications, and supporting strategic project capture.</p><div><b><u>Key Interfaces: </u></b></div><ul><li>Product Management – roadmap alignment, product capabilities, positioning, market feedback</li><li>Product Engineering and Performance / QC – testing evidence, compliance, qualification, technical validation</li><li>Business Development Leadership – targeting strategy and mega-projects positioning</li><li>Commercial Operations - Tender & Project Mgt – feasibility input and technical clarifications during early tender phases</li><li>Regional Sales Teams – Opportunity conversion, project intelligence, consultant contacts, local specification needs, strategic client focus, key accounts, mega‑projects.</li><li>Key Account Managers – alignment on upstream engagement, specification strategy, and long-term technical positioning of Dextra with global and regional key accounts.</li></ul><div><b><u>His / Her toolbox includes:</u></b></div><ul><li>Specifications library and templates</li><li>Standardization documentation & committee notes</li><li>Competitive specification mapping (per region)</li><li>Technical influence presentations and consultant packs</li><li>Product capability database (from Product Management & Product Engineering and Performance)</li><li>Approved lists and authority requirements trackers</li></ul><p style="margin-right:.25in;text-align:justify;"><strong><u>Guardian of quality and nuclear safety:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ensure that specifications and standardization activities comply with nuclear safety requirements.</li><li>Provide accurate and conservative technical justification for nuclear projects.</li><li>Escalate any safety-related concern to Product Engineering and Performance or Management.</li><li>Maintain traceable and validated technical documentation.</li></ul><div>Qualifications:</div><ul><li>Engineering degree (Civil, Structural, Mechanical) preferred; MSc in Engineering or equivalent training is a plus.</li><li>5-8 years working with engineering firms, technical sales, specifications, consulting, or standardization bodies.</li><li>Excellent command of spoken and written English.</li><li>Strong in MS Office, CRM/PLM tools, documentation systems; Power BI is a plus</li><li>Ability to leverage AI-based tools to improve efficiency, analyze information, and support decision-making.</li><li>Comfortable engaging with consultants, authorities, and technical committees</li><li>Ability to write clear and robust technical specifications</li><li>Strong influence and advocacy capabilities</li></ul><div><br></div>
