DiningRD is actively seeking a part-time Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) to join our team of talented professionals for a consulting role in skilled nursing facilities and/or behavioral health. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Enjoy working with geriatric residents and understand their needs.
- Some travel may be required.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
- Be in good mental and physical condition.
- Possess good communication skills.
- Be able to work productively with other members of the resident care team, dietary staff, and residents.
Key Responsibilities
- but not limited to: Complete the initial, annual, and quarterly nutritional assessments with correlating section K, CAA, and Care plan, according to federal and state guidelines, in a timely manner.
- Describe and Educate residents, staff, and family members on therapeutic & mechanically altered diets.
- Evaluate kitchen for safety & sanitation to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Promote quality food service.
- Initiates and/or completes documentation for residents at nutritional risk (renal/dialysis, significant weight changes, pressure ulcers, tube feeding, etc.).
- Assists with maintaining high-risk resident rosters and consultant RD logs.
- Participate in Wound / Weight Intervention and Nutrition Support Committee.
- Complete monthly QA reports.
- Conduct monthly diet order audits and assist in keeping resident food profile cards, tray cards, nourishment list updated.
- Record food preferences.
- Communicate effectively with Consultant RD.
