Bookstore Assistant - Good Shepherd Bookstore, Fort Wayne

Good Shepherd Books and Gifts is seeking a part-time Bookstore Assistant to join our team. Schedule would include two-three full days per week and require availability for Saturday work rotation. This is a year-round position.

Responsibilities include: 

• Engaging with customers in an inviting, friendly manner and assisting them with their needs 
• Completing customer transactions with accuracy 
• Handle customer phone inquiries 
• Receiving and stocking store products 
• Processing incoming and outgoing shipments 
• Ensuring the store website is accurate and up to date 
• Maintaining a clean and organized appearance in the store
• Assisting with annual store inventory (June 30, 2025-July 3, 2025) is mandatory.
• Assist with other tasks as needed   

Preferred candidate qualifications:                  

• Previous retail experience  
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel 
• Proficient in cash handling 
• Detail oriented 
• Ability to multitask and work independently
