Director of Stewardship Core Responsibilities
1. Ministry Engagement & Stewardship
Drive Engagement: Guide parishioners to discover how their gifts align with parish needs.
Stewardship Campaigns: Lead the annual stewardship renewal campaign
New Parishioner Welcoming: Oversee the New Parishioner Event Team and manage the Ambassador program to integrate new families.
Fellowship Events: Coordinate occasional after-Mass receptions and gatherings
Targeted Ministries: Support leadership and event logistics for Seniors Ministry and Empty Nester ministries.
2. Community Outreach & Christian Action Commission (CAC)
Commission Chair: Lead monthly CAC meetings to plan, assess, and implement the parish’s strategic outreach goals.
Hope Ministry & Our Lady of the Road: Coordinate volunteer schedules, food orders, and supply delivery for monthly meals at Hope Ministry and Our Lady of the Road.
Seasonal Drives: Manage major parish collections, including the Advent Giving Tree (500–600 tags), diaper drives, and Right to Life campaigns.
Partner Relations: Serve as the staff liaison for local outreach partners (St. Vincent de Paul, St. Margaret’s House, Haiti Twinning, Disma House, and others)
3. Pastoral Care of the sick and homebound (St. Andre Ministry)
Facility Logistics: Coordinate monthly priest Mass schedules and sacramental visits at local care facilities.
Sacramental and pastoral visits: ensure sick and homebound are visited and feel connected back to the parish through priest sacramental visits and communion visits.
Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and supervise ministers to the sick and homebound.
Compliance: Partner with the Safe Environment Coordinator to ensure all volunteers pass required background checks and training.
Community Connection: Develop creative ways to engage the parish with nursing home residents (e.g., holiday caroling).
4. Development & Donor Relations
Event Liaison: Act as the staff point of contact for major school/preschool fundraisers (Bi-annual Auction, Golf Outing, Giving Tuesday, Saint Nick 6).
Donor Tracking: Maintain the donor and business sponsorship database; canvas local businesses when necessary.
Donor Gratitude: Coordinate thank-you campaigns, acknowledgments, and annual letters on behalf of the Pastor and Principal.
Memorial Contributions: send acknowledgement letters to next of kin of a deceased to notify them of memorial contributions made in their relative’s honor.
5. Administration & Collaboration
Database Management: Utilize ParishSoft to manage parishioner records and pull demographic data for event outreach working with parish secretary
Online Giving: Manage WeShare for event registrations, fundraising collections, and diocesan special collections.
Inter-Commission Support: Collaborate with other parish commissions (Community Life, Christian Formation) to streamline event registrations and volunteer recruitment.
Staff Collaboration:
Work with pastor for new ministry development and new outreach opportunities
Plan and collaborate with others on staff and volunteers for ‘theology on tap’ type of events
NOTE: Position is Full Time, Exempt. Schedule requires some nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: Background in parish ministry, database management, and event coordination preferred.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with ParishSoft and WeShare (or similar church CRM/giving platforms) is a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clergy, school administration, volunteers, and donors.
