Job Description

We're looking for a multi-talented front-end web developer whose role will be to help developing one-page applications using HTML5/CSS and JavaScript. The role will also include helping our customers visualizing rich datasets like geospacial and demographic data, using tech that many folks are still just itching to get into –– if they "just had the right project for it" (e.g. d3.js, node.js). The applicant will also need to have some experience with REST API integration. Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases and Ruby on Rails is a great asset.

Dónde provides local marketing insights through mobile-first product and store locators. The mobile product locator service makes it easy for mobile users to find physical products of the brands that use Dónde. The software integrates into existing web and mobile marketing, is seamless to end-users and works across the web, mobile and Facebook. Marketers get insightful analytics about their ability to convert online traffic to offline sales.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience building interactive UI with HTML/SVG+CSS+JavaScript

• Solid understanding of JavaScript OOP, prototypes and closures

• A Computer Science degree or equivalent experience

• Databases experience (SQL and/or noSQL)

• Basic design skills

Experience with (or at least eagerness to learn):

• REST APIs

• d3.js and charting libraries

• JavaScript frameworks (backbone.js and/or angular.js)

• Ruby-on-Rails

• Mobile web development (HTML5, touch events, responsive design)

• Experience with Geographic Information System and mapping services

• git
