Downer is seeking an experienced Asphalt Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in delivering asphalt surfacing projects safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards across the Northern Territory. Based out of Berrimah, this is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who can coordinate people, plant and resources while fostering a strong safety culture and driving operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and supervise asphalt crews, subcontractors, plant and resources across multiple projects.
- Plan and coordinate daily works, resources, plant movements and construction activities.
- Monitor project delivery, productivity, quality outcomes and financial performance.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members while driving accountability and performance.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies.
- Promote and maintain a strong Zero Harm culture.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management or similar qualification (preferred).
- Proven experience in asphalt surfacing, road construction or civil infrastructure operations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing crews and resources in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Experience managing project budgets, productivity and operational performance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
