Te Kowhiringa | The Opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician with experience in mechanical, HVAC, or commercial electrical systems.

This is a hands-on, site-based role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working across a range of environments, supporting installation, maintenance, and fault-finding on complex electrical and mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial and commercial electrical systems
• Working alongside mechanical plant and HVAC systems
• Fault-finding and troubleshooting to minimise downtime
• Supporting works across civil and infrastructure environments where required
• Ensuring all work meets NZ safety and compliance standards
• Collaborating with other trades and teams on-site

Ngā Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

We’re looking for someone with strong, practical experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical environments, along with:

• Current NZ EWRB practising licence
• Proven experience in industrial, mechanical, or commercial electrical work
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Experience with plant equipment, HVAC, or automated systems (advantageous)
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence
• Willingness for occasional travel
• Solid attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Confidence using basic computer systems for job recording
