Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

As an Excavator Operator based out of our Tasman depot, you'll be a valued member of our crew delivering a variety of civil construction works across the region. This is a hands-on role where you'll operate machinery safely and efficiently while supporting the team to deliver quality outcomes for our customers and communities.

Your work will include drainage installation, footpath and kerb preparation, excavation, backfilling and general civil construction activities. Experience with auguring and rock placement is highly regarded. You'll also be willing to get stuck in and assist with ground-based tasks when required to help out team mates, making you a true all-round operator.

Ngā pūkenga matua | Important Skills

You will have proven experience operating excavators within the civil construction industry and be confident working across a range of civil projects. You will also:

• Have experience delivering drainage works, track building, footpath preparation and roading works include kerb construction activities.

• Have experience with auguring and rock placement (preferred)

• Hold a Full Class 2 & 4 driver's licence with W, T and R endorsements (beneficial)

• Be a reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Be willing to assist with labouring and general site duties when required

• Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing site conditions

• Be physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks

• Be committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment
