The Opportunity
Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters with Rope Access for a FIFO shutdown project based in Port Hedland, WA, with opportunities to contribute to future projects and outages across our portfolio.
Working within a fixed plant shutdown environment, you will bring your expertise in rope access fitting to help deliver safe, high-quality maintenance outcomes. We have multiple shutdown opportunities available, with varied project schedules throughout the year.
Location: FIFO Perth to Port Hedland
Employment Type: Casual
Start Dates: 13th of October to 19th of October 2026

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate
• Experience working in shutdown, mining, or heavy industrial environments
• Rope Access Mechanical Fitting experience with a current IRATA certification and logbook (all levels considered)
• Full Australian working rights
• Current:
  • MSIC
  • White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Gas Test Atmospheres, Fire Training Certificate within 5 years
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a crew environment
