    Job description

    Downhole Chemical Solutions (DCS) is an employee-owned oil and gas chemical company delivering performance-driven solutions in hydraulic fracturing. Founded in 2015, we specialize in slickwater fluid systems and stimulation chemistries backed by data, engineering expertise, and hands-on field execution.     We are seeking a Facility Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in providing technical support and asset maintenance for DCS field operations. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, and eager to grow.

    Key Responsibilities & Expectations

    1. Supervise and guarantee accuracy of all outbound orders by ensuring that the load process is being executed accurately. The primary goal for the facility is that the field must never run out of product.

    Dry Loads:

    • Orders filled on time and accurately
    • Pneumatic trailer (PT) inspections completed
    • PTs are cleaned if needed
    • Loading machine is maintained according to schedule
    • Before and after scale weight
    Liquid Loads:
    • Orders filled on time and accurately
    • Plan blend schedule for upcoming work
    • ISO’s and VAC’s cleaned or washed out if needed
    • Before and after scale weight or telemetry

    2. Supervise and guarantee inbound deliveries for Dry and Liquid product, including:

    • Product storage
    • Product organization and access
    • Offload inbound transport

    3. Responsible for all inventory in the facility and tracking inventory levels out in the field

    Dry Product:

    • Maintain accurate consignment counts every day following scanning procedure
    • Schedule how many and which PTs should be loaded or unloaded, and with which product
    • Log all inventory moves in DCSI
    • Accurate log of chemicals assigned to each asset
    • Report if the facility is low on product or is too full of product
    • End of job variance reconciliation
    • Participate in monthly and yearly inventory audits

    Liquid Product:

    • Maintain accurate inventory levels
    • Report if the facility is low on product or is too full of product
    • Schedule how many and which ISOs or VACs should be loaded or unloaded, and with which product
    • Log all inventory moves in DCSI
    • End of job variance reconciliation

    4. Maintain Operational Excellence - Ensuring the team is following all process and procedures laid out in the “Facility Manual”

    • Must be safety conscience and actively preventing HSE incidents
    • Develop a strong team culture with all groups at the facility (Operations, engineering, Logistics…)
    • Lead by example, actively participate and audit operational jobs and responsibilities
    • Maintain an organized and clean yard/facility
    • Keep facility budget and spending in check, maintaining good financial discipline

    5. Communication

    • Maintain strong communication in person and via Teams with the Facility
    • Actively bringing up concerns or problems to the correct individuals or departments via Teams
    • Keep the Remote Operations Center (R.O.C.) well informed on operations, asset moves, inventory concerns, etc.
    • Be able to respond to others in a timely fashion

    6. Team scheduling & time off

    • Formulation & maintenance of the team’s schedule & rotation in software system, nSight
    • Ensure coverage for weekends and holidays
    • Managet time-off approval & on-the-fly scheduling
    • Provide constant analysis of the team’s schedule and potential need for change
    • Responsible for ensuring Facility Operator timesheets are filled out accurately and on time

    7. Hiring and Onboarding

    • With approval from the District Engineer, responsible for requesting, interviewing and hiring additional facility operators
    • Responsible for training new operators in DCS procedures and role
    • Ensure all facility operators are fluent in all aspects of the Facility, ie. Blending, loading, unloading, maintenance, DCSI, etc. so that if someone is out, anyone can step-up and fill in
    • Actively work to track and guide Facility Operators in their progressions

    8. Disciplinary Action

    • The manager is responsible for building up his/her team, but if they fail, appropriate corrective action/coaching is expected
    • Maintain proper documentation for every action with an individual
    • Responsible for termination of facility operators when adequate coaching and corrective actions have failed
    • It is imperative that DCS maintains a strong team culture, no one individual should be allowed to bring down the rest of the team. It is the responsibility of the manager to actively be on the lookout for those instances and immediately address them

    Schedule & Structure

    Schedule:

    • The manager is expected to be available to support his or her team as the primary responsibility. It is (generally) expected that the manager be in office 8-5 Monday-Friday. Due to the nature of the DCS business, weekend, evening, and after-hours calls are to be expected, and the Facility Manager should have a rotating schedule in place for Facility Operators to be primary on after-hours calls as well as coverage on the weekends. The Facility Manager should also be available just in case and be in the loop on these types of calls. If needed, the Facility Manager is expected to step in.

    Location & day-to-day

    • The Facility Manager will need to live within daily driving distance of the Facility.

    Time off Requests & Expectations:

    • For time off, adequate coverage and planning is needed, it is the responsibility of the Facility Manager to build up their team and get them to the point where they can cover him/her during requested days off
    • All time off requests require approval via from the District Engineer in that basin. Management is required to communicate with the employee within 48 hrs. of the request, to either approve, decline, or request more information.
    • Time off should be requested via Paylocity using the Request Time Off option.

    Below is the required notice period for all time off requests:

    • Up to 2 days requested off - Minimum 1 week notice required
    • More than 2 days and up to 4 days requested off - Minimum 2 weeks' notice required
    • 5 or more days requested off - Minimum 4 weeks' notice required
