Job Description:
- Coordinating with the procurement team on when the goods will be ready.
- Verifying customs regulations for various products in portfolio and ensuring the correct documentation is in place.
- Obtaining quotes from various forwarders and finalizing a freight forwarder after negotiations.
- Coordinating for the deliveries from various countries like China / India / US / EU to designated locations in the UK / EU and notifying respective warehouse owners.
- Reviewing CMR documents and freight invoices for accuracy.
- Coordinating with accounts team to make the payments on time and also help vendors reconcile those payments.
- Requesting and organizing necessary documents for both clearance / delivery and accounts.
- Coordinating for payments with all forwarders and proactively managing account settlements, considering no existing credit arrangements with any forwarder.
- Following up with both forwarders and warehouse owners for timely updates on stock receivables.
- Communicating with the procurement team to provide updates on upcoming deliveries.
- Sending pre-alerts to designated agents for import clearance and staying informed on timely updates.
- Facilitating duty and import handling payments, along with auditing related documents.
- Timely receiving updates from forwarders on export clearance and sailing status.
- Tracking stock receivable updates from both forwarders and warehouse owners.
