You'll be part of a collaborative care team supporting a GI practice across multiple hospital affiliations, working under physician supervision.<br><br> </div><div> <strong><br>Schedule</strong><br><br> </div><ul> <li>Core hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM, Monday–Friday (schedule might vary)</li> <li>Hospital active-staff obligations at designated facilities</li> </ul><div> <br>Key Responsibilities<br><br> </div><ul> <li>Provide professional medical services within GI specialty scope</li> <li>Provide patient care and perform all related and derivative clinical duties, under the supervision of a physician</li> <li>Provide consults to requesting physicians</li> <li>Maintain timely, accurate medical and billing records; review billings under your name/provider number and flag errors</li> <li>Supervise and review care rendered by non-PA staff involved in direct patient care</li> <li>Participate in compliance programs, peer review, and administrative/medical education duties as assigned</li> <li>Maintain active staff privileges at designated hospitals: White Memorial Medical Center, Beverly Hospital, Monterey Park Hospital, East Los Angeles Doctor's Hospital</li> <li>Cooperate with billing/compliance requirements tied to payor contracts (HMOs, PPOs, IPAs, MSOs, etc.)</li> </ul><div> <br>Compensation & Benefits<br><br> </div><ul> <li>$125,000/year base salary, payment frequency biweekly</li> <li>Health & Dental Insurance</li> <li>Retirement plan</li> <li>Vacation</li> <li>Sick Time</li> </ul><div> <br>Required Certifications & Qualifications<br><br> </div><ol> <li> <strong>NCCPA Certification</strong> — Must have passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) / hold current NCCPA certification.</li> <li> <strong>California PA License</strong> — Must be licensed or become licensed to practice as a PA in California</li> <li> <strong>NPI Number</strong> — Must have an active National Provider Identifier (NPI) for billing and provider identification purposes.</li> <li> <strong>DEA Registration</strong> — Active DEA controlled substance registration in California required and must be maintained throughout employment (at candidate's own expense).</li> <li> <strong>Board Eligibility/Certification</strong> — Must maintain board eligibility or certification unless waived in writing by employer.</li> <li> <strong>Hospital Privileges</strong> — Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff membership/privileges at the four designated hospitals listed above.</li> <li> <strong>Payor Credentialing</strong> — Must be eligible (or become eligible) for credentialing with the practice's managed care contracts (HMOs, PPOs, IPAs, MSOs, etc.); at least 75% of practice patient coverage eligibility expected within 6 months.</li> <li>Spanish Fluent</li> </ol> </div>
