Prep Cook & Barista

Summary:

The Prep Cook & Barista is a dual role in which the incumbent will assist with line service in the morning and barista duties in the afternoon.

The Prep Cook plays a supportive role to kitchen staff in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring food is delivered safely and efficiently. The Barista serves in the school’s boutique coffee shop, Cha Cha’s, by providing drink and food orders with a smile to students, faculty, and staff.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Arrive on time.
• Fill online and walk-up orders.
• Prepare drink and food orders, while observing food safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean workspace.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Follow daily production schedule and meal preparation requirements, as directed by the chef.
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves, so they can be organized and easily accessible.
• Measure ingredients and seasoning to be used in recipes.
• Wash and chop vegetables, meat, etc.
• Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, take out trash.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
