Duke's is now seeking an organized, customer-focused Inside Sales & Support Representative to join our team to support and grow Root Control programs for our customers. In this role, you will manage opportunities from initial qualification through proposal, implementation, and annual customer review. You will help customers plan effective programs, make the most of approved budgets, maintain treatment continuity, and coordinate successful project delivery. You will also serve as the primary outside sales resource for qualified opportunities in unassigned territories.
Based in Elgin, IL, this role includes approximately 25% travel, with onsite work at our headquarters when not traveling.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the primary sales and support contact for smaller municipalities and agencies
- Qualify marketing leads, prospects, and existing-customer opportunities by assessing needs, timing, budget, decision processes, and fit
- Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, and Operations
- Develop and present quotes, proposals, pricing options, treatment recommendations, and program plans
- Lead annual customer reviews covering program performance, warranties, budgets, scheduling priorities, and future service needs
- Re-engage customers with reduced or inactive programs and identify opportunities to restore or expand service
- Maintain accurate customer, budget, schedule, recommendation, and follow-up information in CRM and ERP, and other approved systems.
- Work with customers to obtain GIS data, collection-system maps, and infrastructure records for accurate planning and treatment sequencing.
- Coordinate approved work with Operations, including customer information, scheduling, job setup, and implementation readiness.
- Monitor project budgets and progress, and recommend additional approved work when funding capacity is available.
- Travel throughout assigned territory approximately 25% of the time

- Have 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, outside sales, business development, or a marketing or operations support role
- Have a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, preferred not required
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Are able to build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with customers and prospects
- Have strong organization, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
- Are self-motivated, professional, and able to take an adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment
- Have experience with municipal wastewater collection systems, Root Control services, utilities, or infrastructure markets, preferred
- Are technically proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), SharePoint, CRM platforms, and ERP systems; GIS experience preferred.
- Are able and willing to travel via car or airplane approximately 25% of the time throughout territory
- Have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Are willing to undergo a background/MVR check and a pre-employment drug screen
